💎 Prisms

Prisms are one of the **hardest items to obtain** in Cattito. They serve as a badge of dedication and a gentle reminder to touch grass.

How to Craft Them

To craft a prism, you need **one of every cat type** (22 cats in total).

Run the command: /prism

Then press the **"Craft!"** button. Cattito will show you which cats you are missing.

Value and Formulas

Since prisms are crafted from one of each cat type, their value is the sum of all individual cat values.

Approximate Value: **~6271.383**

(The exact value can also be expressed as: 5,553,310,451 / ~885,500 or 6271^339951 / ~885500)

How They Work (Boost Chance)

Prisms give you a chance to **upgrade the cat you catch to the next rarity**. For example, a Fine cat could be upgraded to a Nice cat. The boost chances are calculated as follows:

User Prism Boost Chance: (\text{Server Boost Chance} + 0.03 \times \ln(2 \times \text{Owned Prism Count} + 1)) \times 100\%
Displayed Prism Boost Chance: \text{round}(\text{Exact Boost Chance}, 3) \times 100\%

Limitations & Trading

Each server can only have **520 prisms**. Prism names use numbers (up to twenty) and words (up to zulu), giving a maximum of 20 x 26 = 520 unique prisms per server.

**Trading Warning:** Prisms are extremely rare. Only trade with fully trusted users. Use the /trade command and write the prism name to add it to the trade.

💡 Prism Trivia & History

**Date Added:** Prisms were added on November 4th, 2024.
**Old System:** Old Cataine boosts were similar to prism boosts but were later changed to doubling cats.
**Naming:** Prism names follow the NATO phonetic alphabet, cycling back after Zulu (e.g., Alpha Two, Bravo Two).
**Disappearance:** Prisms can only disappear via the /nuke or /reset commands.
**eGirl Rain:** If a prism tries to boost a natural **eGirl cat**, it fails but triggers a **10-minute rain**. Boosting an eGirl during a rain extends it by 10 minutes (forcespawned eGirls do not start/prolong rain).
**Old Limits:** Before March 31st, 2025 (in *The Prism Update*), prisms had a limit of 5 per person and 25 per server, and crafting required Cattlepass Level 30.

Prism Configuration (Legacy)

Prisms were previously configurable. After acquiring a prism, you could run /prism, press **"Configure"**, select the prism, and edit it to disable boosts for specific cat types.
